Looking for: Rotational Engineer - 10wks/10wks
Start: Engineer End of March 2026 Caribbean or mid-April, Palma Mallorca
50m private classic ketch - private usage.
Currently: Caribbean/trans-Atlantic. Early summer in Med. Late summer in New England USA.
Visa - B1/B2
Licence: minimum requirement is an MEOL licence. Preferred SV 2nd Engineer.
Candidate description:
Responsible for engine room upkeep, preventative maintenance (oil, filter changes etc), general engineering (servicing pumps and motors).
A high level of Electrical and IT/Network knowledge and experience is essential.
Should have friendly personality and be outgoing.
A seasoned sailor. We sail a lot and like to sail on deliveries. Working knowledge of navigation and rules of road.
Vessel works closely with ISP for network management and security
Good knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets and databases.
Knowledge of vessel maintenance systems (IDEA).
Assist on deck/general safety and sailing.
Train 2nd engineer & deckhand/bosun in basic engine room repairs/servicing, yacht maintenance/operations.
Manage contractors, day workers etc.
During guest/owner trips to assist other crew as necessary
