Summary
Position: Temp 2nd Engineer
Vessel Type: 50m Motor Yacht
Location: Starting in West Palm Beach, crossing to Palma
Start Date: April 1st, 2026
You would already be in the USA. You will NOT be considered or flown into the USA for this position
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the maintenance and operation of all engineering systems aboard the yacht
- Support the Chief Engineer in daily tasks and implementations
- Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues as they arise
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on machinery and equipment
Qualifications:
- Prior experience as a 2nd Engineer or in a similar role on yachts or ships
- Basic knowledge of marine engineering systems (no specific ticket required)
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
- Valid STCW certification and a medical certificate are preferred
Availability:
- Must be available to join the yacht on April 1st, 2026
- Willingness to undertake a crossing to Palma
Compensation:
- Competitive day rate
