Chief Engineer in Antigua & Barbuda

Summary

We are working with a 57m MY that is currently for sale. They are looking for a new Chief Engineer to join them around the 10th March

Vessel is for sale, so this means the future is uncertain. Could end up being great or could end up being……… not so great.

• Start date is no later than 10^th March ideally.
• Salary is $10,500 per month – Non-negotiable at this stage.
• with 13^th month bonus
• and share of tips on future charters (if transpires)
• Minimum ticket required: III/3 Chief Engineer <3000kW
• Engineering team is well established. CE, 2^nd and a temp 3^rd for yard periods
• Vessel is in good shape (pre 2010 build)
• 2 fantastic Captains
• Single Cabin
• 2:2 rotation but first rotation will be 3 months, then 6 weeks off then 6 on, and then will be reverting to 8:8
• Vessel is continuing as normal with possible charters in the future if it is not sold soon
• AVIT and Electrical systems are looked after by the CE so experience in this area is advantageous
• Yard period coming up for the Intermediate Surveys and will be Florida side. Great time to get to know the vessel
• Open to a 2^nd stepping up, but MUST be AVIT competent
• Must be confident in speaking to the guests and owner regarding technical matters
• B1B2 is ESSENTIAL for this one please

Essential Qualifications

Entry Level Qualifications (or equivalent)

• STCW 95 (STCW 2010)
• ENG 1 (Medical Certificate)

Engineering Qualifications (or Merchant, USCG & AMSA equivalent)

• RIII/3 Y3 Chief Engineer (<500gt <3000kW)/ Chief Engineer (SV) (<500gt 3000kW)
• RIII/2 Y2 Chief Engineer (<3000gt <3000kW)/ Chief Engineer (SV) (<3000gt <9000kW)
• RIII/2 Y1 Chief Engineer (<3000gt <9000kW)/ Chief Engineer (SV) (<3000gt <9000kW)
• RIII/2 2nd Engineer (Unlimited)
• RIII/2 Chief Engineer (Unlimited)/ Class 1
