Summary

Chief Stewardess — 80m+ Motor Yacht

Rotation: 2:2 (equal time on/off) Salary Guide: $8,500/month (DOE) + benefits Start Date: May 20th Cruising Grounds: Caribbean & Mediterranean

Right. Let's skip the fairy tale.

We're looking for a Chief Stewardess to join an 80m+ motor yacht. We carry 27 crew onboard at any one time (45 on the books — equal rotation means everyone actually gets to go home). It's a brilliant vessel on a well-run private program — but this isn't a floating spa day and we're not going to pretend it is.

The Honest Truth

You'll be running an interior department of around 7 people onboard at any one time. That's a Second Stewardess, a Lead Housekeeper, a Laundry Stewardess, a Spa Stewardess, and a handful of Stewardesses — all with different personalities, experience levels, and opinions on how a cushion should be chopped. You'll manage egos, rosters, standards, and the occasional crew meltdown, all while ensuring the guest areas look like nobody has ever set foot in them. Oh, and you'll need to keep things consistent with your rotational counterpart, so the guests never notice the switch.

The vessel operates as a busy private program with occasional charter, splitting between the Caribbean and the Med. The owner is great. The Captains are supportive. The standards are high. The days are long. You will question your life choices at least once per trip — but you'll also get to do it in some of the most beautiful places on earth, so swings and roundabouts.

What Makes It Worth It

  • 2:2 equal rotation — yes, really. Equal time on, equal time off. Go home. Touch grass. Remember what weekends feel like.
  • 2–4 days off per month while aboard, because we believe in keeping people sane
  • 13th month bonus — your full monthly salary, not a gift card
  • Dual-captain structure — two Captains who actually talk to each other and to you
  • 27 crew onboard (45 total employed) — big enough to have a proper team, small enough to know everyone's name (and their coffee order)
  • Excellent onboard amenities — proper gym, good food, wifi that actually works
  • Stable ownership — no surprises, no drama from the top
  • Caribbean winters, Med summers — we said we'd undersell it, but come on

What We Need From You

  • Proven Chief Stew experience on yachts 60m+ (we need someone who's done the rodeo, not someone who's watched it)
  • The ability to lead, train, and — crucially — retain a large interior team
  • Standards so high they make other Chief Stews nervous
  • Experience managing both owner trips and charter guests
  • A calm head when everything is on fire (sometimes metaphorically, occasionally literally — it's a boat)
  • Thick skin, a sense of humour, and zero tolerance for mediocrity
  • The usual paperwork — STCW, ENG1, Food Hygiene, etc.

The Package

Monthly Salary: $8,500 USD (depending on experience)

Rotation: 2 months on / 2 months off (182.5 days leave/year)

13th Month Bonus (Full monthly salary)

Health Insurance: Comprehensive coverage

Flights: Premium Economy for the first year, business class after that

Training Budget: Annual professional development allowance

The Catch

There isn't really one. It's a demanding role on a busy program with high standards, the team is solid, and the operation is professional. If you want a quiet life, this isn't it. If you want a rewarding one with proper time off to recover from it, keep reading.

To apply, express your interest through yotspot.

No novel-length cover letters required. Just tell us who you are, where you've been, and why you think you can handle eleven stewardesses and an 80m+ yacht without losing your mind.
