Summary
We are seeking a hands-on, experienced Chief / Sole Engineer to join a private 28m M/Y.
- The yacht is currently in North America in the shipyard, and has been undergoing a lot of work to get it ready to come back to the Med
- As Sole Engineer, you will be fully responsible for the safe and efficient operation of all technical systems onboard
- You will manage planned maintenance, troubleshooting, and ensure compliance with flag and class requirements
- This role requires strong organisation, initiative, and the ability to work independently
- Overall responsibility for all mechanical, electrical and technical systems
- Planned maintenance system management and record keeping
- Budget management and spare parts inventory
- Liaising with contractors and shipyards
- Strong all round technical knowledge, including engines, generators, AV IT, plumbing and electrical systems
- You will need a B1/B2 to hand
- Y3/Y4 ticket is preferred, or an AEC 1&2 with solid engineering experience
- A package of €7k-€10k DOE and ticket is on offer with 38 days leave
