Crew Recruitment Consultant
Job Description
The Crew Recruitment Consultant role is focused on supporting the Yacht Management fleet, with their crew recruitment needs. It is a varied and challenging position that sees you working alongside the Operations team and crew HR team, as well as in direct contact with the crew on board.
You are a significant link between Yacht Management and the smooth running of the teams within our fleet!
This role will include…
- Managing and assisting yachts with all their recruitment needs
- Managing the Interior and Galley department recruitment
- Sourcing and presenting candidates to Yacht Management fleet utilizing our software/s
- Business development for crew recruitment developing working relationships with new vessels
- Reviewing and maintaining the candidate database
- Monitoring the compliance of the candidates, regarding relevant certifications and references
- Validating and uploading data and documents to our vessel management systems
- Evaluating and improving software, documents and procedures
- Working with key stakeholders through the recruitment, onboarding and employment processes
- Working with other departments to provide a high-end crewing and crew HR service
- Assisting with the monitoring
- Arrangements for, and assistance with, internal and external company audits
- Maintaining regular and professional communication, support and collaboration with all Yacht Management colleagues, the wider Yachts Group and all key stakeholders. Including owners, owner teams and family offices, Captains, crews, insurers, classification societies, flag states, fiduciary service providers, etc. As well as technical, project and compliance managers, brokerage, charter and senior management
- Ensuring all deadlines are met
- Attending industry events and trade shows
Due to the nature of emergency incidents in the maritime industry, the Crew Recruitment Consultant must understand the necessity for 24/7 availability in these instances.
This position will also provide cover for the Crew HR team where necessary. Training in this area will be provided.
Who We Are Looking For
A motivated and diligent individual with the drive and integrity to provide our clients with the outstanding service they are accustomed to. They will have a keen eye for detail and an excellent ability for professional communication across all levels of the stakeholder chain.
The Ideal Candidate will be from a maritime background and with a solid understanding of onboard operations. This could be from time served onboard or in a vessel recruitment role ashore.

- Solid experience and understanding of the yachting industry and/or recruitment

Gross Salary: Competitive Basic Salary
Commission: Very competitive industry commission structure (monthly)

Working Hours: Flexible start times between 08:00 and 10:00, with a following 8-hour working day

Business Travel: Regular travel is anticipated. All reasonable and justifiable receipted costs, and per diems, are paid or reimbursed. Marketing-based expenses are approved in advance
