Summary
We are currently seeking a Chief Engineer for a 100m+ research vessel.
We are looking for an experienced Chief Engineer to join an exciting new project. The Chief Engineer is responsible for the engine department and as such for the operation and maintenance of engine department equipment, technical spaces, and machinery. The Chief Engineer is also responsible for the supervision, management, and encouragement of all engine department crew.
Requirements
- Crowd Management course
- Chief Engineer Officer COC STCW Reg. III/2
- Experience from similar positions on relevant vessel
- Self-reliant and proactive in job execution, with an enthusiastic and positive interest in contributing to the health of the ocean.
- Strong guest facing skills
- Motivated and willing to grow.
- Service-minded and able to be a team player and lead and motivate teams.
Desirables
- Experience from similar advanced diesel-electric multi-purpose vessels.
- Experience from building and outfitting complex vessels.
- Experience with developing and using planned maintenance systems, TM Master or similar.
