Summary

Engineer – 42m Private Fishing Yacht (2/2 Rotation)

A 42m world-renowned private motor yacht is seeking an experienced Engineer to join an active, fishing-focused program. The vessel is currently operating in Costa Rica, with plans to remain predominantly West Coast based (Costa Rica, Mexico, BC/Alaska). Summer itinerary is yet to be confirmed.

The yacht is maintained to a high standard and operates MTU main engines, Northern Lights generators, and standard modern yacht engineering systems. The program is hands-on and busy, with regular fishing activity including sailfish, marlin, salmon, and halibut seasons.

This role suits a practical, self-sufficient engineer who enjoys an active program and working closely with an outdoors-oriented crew.

Position Details

  • 2/2 full rotational schedule
  • Own cabin provided
  • Start date: End of Feb, flexible

Requirements

  • Proven yacht engineering experience
  • Must hold Y4 or equivalent engineering qualification
  • Experience with MTU main engines and Northern Lights generators preferred
  • Organised, proactive, and hands-on approach
  • STCW & ENG1
  • B1/B2 visa
  • No criminal record
  • No visible tattoos (or must be covered when guests are onboard)
  • Non-smoker when guests are onboard
