Summary

About the Vessel:

A well-managed 60m private motor yacht with light charter activity. Currently based in the South of France with Med cruising scheduled for the season and an Atlantic crossing planned around mid-May.

Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Chief Engineer to lead all engineering, maintenance, and technical compliance on board. You will work closely with the Captain and management company to ensure safe and efficient vessel operations year-round.

Requirements:

Valid Y3 / Chief Engineer 3000kW or higher

Strong mechanical & electrical troubleshooting skills

Planned maintenance experience (IDEA)

ISM, ISPS & class compliance familiarity

Previous experience on similar-size yachts preferred

Good record-keeping and reporting standards

Professional, proactive attitude — able to run the department independently

Responsibilities:

Full oversight of main propulsion, generators & auxiliary systems

Preventative and corrective maintenance planning

Inventory, spares & budget control

Technical record keeping and compliance documentation

Management of external contractors & yard periods

Support during charter operations and guest trips
