Summary
We are seeking a Chief Engineer for a 55m motor yacht, now in Malta, to oversee all engineering operations on board. This permanent position entails ensuring the optimal performance and maintenance of the vessel’s machinery and systems, conducting regular inspections, and managing repairs. The Chief Engineer will also be responsible for supervising the engineering team, coordinating with other departments, and maintaining compliance with safety and regulatory standards. Candidates should possess a valid engineering certification, extensive experience in yacht engineering, and a strong understanding of marine systems. Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic environment are essential. The vessel will move to the United Arab Emirates in Frebruary, requiring flexibility for travel and commitment to the cruise itinerary. The yachts is equipped with MTUs 4000s so experience with big MTU engines is a plus.
