Housekeeper / Laundress
Location: Maui, HI
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (1-hour break)
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Housekeeper / Laundry Attendant to support a private residence in Maui. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in precision, consistency, and providing “invisible service”—maintaining an immaculate home while operating quietly, respectfully, and unobtrusively while the principals are in residence.
The primary focus of this position is housekeeping and laundry. While occasional light service support may be required, it represents a very small portion of the role.
Key Responsibilities
Housekeeping (Primary Focus)
- Maintain exceptional cleanliness standards throughout the residence
- Daily and deep cleaning of all interior spaces
- Attention to fine details including surfaces, finishes, fixtures, and organization
- Care for high-end materials, furnishings, and finishes
- Proactively identify and address maintenance or cleanliness issues
Laundry (Primary Focus)
- Full-cycle laundry care including washing, drying, ironing, steaming, and proper storage
- Handle delicate fabrics and specialty garments with precision
- Follow established laundry SOPs, labeling, and organization systems
- Maintain laundry room cleanliness and inventory of supplies
Service Support (Occasional / Limited)
- Light service assistance when requested (e.g., setting spaces, basic refreshes)
- Maintain a calm, professional presence while principals are in the home
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a professional housekeeper in a private residence, estate, or luxury hospitality setting
- Strong laundry expertise, including fine garments and household linens
- Exceptional attention to detail and pride in delivering high standards
- Ability to provide discreet, quiet, and “invisible” service
- Organized, dependable, and self-directed
- Respectful of privacy and confidentiality
- Comfortable working independently while following established systems and expectations
