Summary
We are looking for a Chief Engineer to join a private registered 60 metre motor yacht currently based in the UAE. To be considered, candidates must hold a Y2 ticket or equivalent as a minimum with several years of similar sized experience. We offer an attractive compensation package, including full rotation ; 2 months ON / 2 months OFF, and your own cabin. You will be joining a dynamic multi-national crew, This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on Chief Engineer looking for a stable rotational position. The ideal candidate should be available to join by the end of February 2026.
Key Responsibilities
- Overall responsibility for the safe and efficient operation of all engineering systems onboard
- Maintenance and operation of MTU main engines and Scania generators
- Planned maintenance, fault finding, and troubleshooting across all mechanical and electrical systems
- Experience with IDEA a plus
- Management of AV/IT systems onboard (good working knowledge required)
- Budgeting, spares management, and technical record keeping
- Compliance with class, flag state, and safety regulations
- Working closely with the Captain to ensure smooth vessel operations
Requirements
- Minimum Y2 engineer
- Proven experience as Chief Engineer on similar size yachts
- Good AV/IT experience essential
- Strong organisational skills and a proactive, professional attitude
