LIVE-IN HOUSEMAN/HOUSEKEEPER REQUIRED FOR HNW FAMILY IN MARBLE ARCH

A fantastic opportunity for a dedicated, hardworking and experienced live-in Houseman/Housekeeper has become available with a HNW family of 4 in Central London. Working collaboratively with the cook and the cleaner, you will be an excellent all-rounder with a can-do attitude and a willingness to assist with different tasks in and around this 5-bedroom property, predominantly focusing on housekeeping and laundry.
With prior experience in high-net-worth households, you will be proactive in your approach and have great initiative whilst also being able to follow specific instructions. An integral part of the team, you will ensure that the home runs smoothly and be responsible for the general organisation and tidiness of the home. Daily duties will include room turn-ups, laundry and ironing, as well as assisting with light meal preparation when needed. Additionally, you will liaise with tradesmen and contractors, receive and unpack deliveries, pack/unpack for the family, and walk the family’s small dog.
The family are looking to appoint a Houseman/Housekeeper with a positive, can-do attitude – a true all-rounder who is happy to muck in where required to facilitate the smooth running of the home. Additionally, it’s imperative that the successful candidate is highly reliable and trustworthy, and able to work as part of a team. Working from Monday to Saturday, live-in accommodation is provided within the house in a private bedroom and bathroom.
DUTIES TO INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
· General cleanliness and tidiness of the property to include dusting, hoovering, mopping, cleaning and sanitising bathrooms
· Room turn-up, making beds and changing bed linen and towels
· Laundry and ironing – washing, ironing, steaming, coordinating dry cleaning and shoe repairs etc.
· Wardrobe management; packing and unpacking for travel
· Upkeep and care of art, china, collectibles, crystal, and silver polishing
· Shopping and ensuring all household essentials and cleaning products are in stock
· Coordinating deliveries and maintenance visits
· Assisting the cook with light meal preparation when required & serving at the table
· Dog walking
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
· Prior experience working in a private household
· Loyalty and trustworthiness; proven longevity in prior roles
· Strong housekeeping & laundry skills
· Dog lover with a flexible approach and ‘can-do’ attitude
· Professional and boundaried
· Discreet and loyal
· Confident communicator with good English language and interpersonal skills
· Right to live and work in the UK
· Brilliant checkable references (written and verbal)
