Chief Engineer – 40m Charter Motor Yacht
We are seeking a skilled and driven Chief Engineer to join a professionally run 40m charter motor yacht with a strong and reputable charter schedule. This position is ideal for an experienced engineer who is ready to take full ownership of the yacht’s engineering department and maintain exceptionally high standards across all technical operations.
The successful candidate must hold a Y3 certificate and bring a solid engineering background on yachts of a similar size. Strong knowledge of planned maintenance systems—particularly IDEA—is essential, along with excellent communication skills and fluency in English. The role requires a proactive, organised, and hands‑on approach, with the ability to work collaboratively across all departments.
The Chief Engineer will lead the engineering department and will have the support of a 2nd Engineer during winter maintenance periods. On occasion, the role will involve assisting the deck team, including crane operations, so a team‑oriented attitude is important.
