Position Details:

We are recruiting an experienced Chief Engineer for a 50m private motor yacht currently undergoing preparations in Bizerte, Tunisia ahead of an upcoming transit to Dubai, where the vessel will be based long term. Cabin is shared with 2nd Engineer. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated engineer looking for a stable rotational position on a professionally run private yacht. Start month is March, flexible on the date.

Candidate Requirements

• Proven yacht engineering experience on similar size vessels 5 years

• Y3 Qualification and experience with MTU 4000 series engines OR Y2 qualification

• Cayman Islands Flag therefore endorsement required

• Strong troubleshooting and preventative maintenance skills

• Good team player with a positive attitude

• Male candidate required due to shared cabin arrangement

• Valid STCW certification and medical Certificate

• Preferably British Passport

• Valid passport with at least 6 months validity date

Essential Qualifications

Entry Level Qualifications (or equivalent)

• STCW 95 (STCW 2010)
• ENG 1 (Medical Certificate)

Engineering Qualifications (or Merchant, USCG & AMSA equivalent)

• 2nd Engineer III/2 (SV) (<3000gt <9000kW)
• RIII/3 Y3 Chief Engineer (<500gt <3000kW)/ Chief Engineer (SV) (<500gt 3000kW)

Engineering Modules & Short Courses (or equivalent)

• MTU 4000 Series - Approved Operator Course
