Chief Engineer in Australia

Summary

A well-run, private, 45m+ motor yacht is looking for a Chief Engineer to join their team of 8 on board.

MUST BE A TEAM PLAYER WITH THE FOLLOWING SKILLS:

• Hands on, methodical and meticulous in your work.
• Drama free
• Focus on maintenance

QUALIFICATIONS: 

• STCW
• ENG1 or AMSA Medical
• Y3 or Class 3 Engineer 

ITINERARY: Australian East Coast – Sydney, QLD, etc.

START DATE: ASAP – January 2026

EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Full Time. Option to live on or off the boat in Sydney.

SALARY: AUD DOE

REQUIREMENTS: Visa sponsorship considered for right candidate.

Essential Qualifications

Entry Level Qualifications (or equivalent)

• STCW 95 (STCW 2010)
• ENG 1 (Medical Certificate)

Engineering Qualifications (or Merchant, USCG & AMSA equivalent)

• RIII/3 Y3 Chief Engineer (<500gt <3000kW)/ Chief Engineer (SV) (<500gt 3000kW)
