Summary
We are looking for a Chief Engineer to oversee the technical operations of a newly launched 55m motor yacht based in the United Arab Emirates. This position requires a candidate with prior experience as a Chief Engineer on a vessel of similar size, possessing a strong technical background in mechanical, electrical, and AV/IT systems. Ideal candidates should hold a Y1 certification, although Y2 may be acceptable with the requisite experience, we have a 2nd engineer on board to assist the department.
The role demands a hands-on and proactive approach, along with exceptional troubleshooting skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the vessel's systems function efficiently while maintaining safety standards.
This vessel will spend Winters in the UAE, and Summers in the Med, and is currently being set up for charter operations.
The position offers a competitive compensation package of €10,000 per month, with a rotation of 2 months on and 2 months off, starting end of January 2026 for a handover with the current on rotation C/E. If you meet these qualifications and are ready for a new challenge, we encourage you to apply.
