Summary

2nd Stewardess – 64m Private Motor Yacht

We are seeking a strong, experienced 2nd Stewardess to join a 64m private motor yacht with medium/mild owner usage and a fantastic onboard culture.

This is not a junior 2nd role. We are looking for someone confident in the position, who shows natural leadership, takes initiative, and is comfortable stepping up when required.

Vessel & Program

  • 64m private motor yacht
  • 16 crew total
  • Interior team of 5–6
  • Well-maintained vessel
  • Medium/mild owner usage = excellent work/life balance
  • Great international crew
  • Owners are approachable, down-to-earth, and enjoy engaging with crew (while maintaining professionalism)

Role Overview

You will work side-by-side with a very experienced Chief Stewardess, who is also the Purser onboard.

When off trip, the 2nd Stewardess will step into many Chief Stew–level responsibilities, so this role requires confidence, organisation, and accountability.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading and supporting junior stewardesses
  • Creating and managing work lists & yard lists
  • Training stewardesses and maintaining service standards
  • Silver service, mixology, and guest-facing service
  • Crew and boss trip provisioning
  • Administrative duties, maintaining and updating checklists
  • Excel-based organisation and tracking
  • Assisting with accounting tasks when required
  • Helping run the interior smoothly during off-trip periods

The Chief Stew is happy to train and support — but needs a strong 2nd who can confidently help run the show off trip.

Candidate Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year experience as a 2nd Stewardess
  • Proven leadership skills and ability to guide a team
  • Strong silver service & mixology skills
  • Highly organised, proactive, and adaptable
  • Confident with Excel (essential)
  • Comfortable taking responsibility and decision-making
  • Positive attitude with a focus on crew morale and a healthy onboard atmosphere
  • Engaging, social, and confident with guests — able to have a laugh while knowing where to draw the professional line
  • Must have a driver's license

Certification Requirements (Must Be In-Hand)

  • ENG1
  • STCW
  • Food Safety & Hygiene Level 2
  • B1/B2 Visa (essential)

Why This Role?

  • High level of responsibility and career development
  • Exposure to Chief Stew / Purser-level operations
  • Supportive leadership and professional standards
  • Owners who value and engage with crew
  • A happy, healthy, and respectful working environment

We are looking for someone ready to step up, lead with confidence, and be a key pillar of the interior team.
