Travelling Butler (Middle East and Paris + Global Travel)
We are seeking an experienced, discreet, and highly professional Travelling Butler to support a UHNWI as part of a dynamic, international lifestyle. The role is based in the Middle East and Paris, with extensive travel worldwide. The ideal candidate has a refined service mindset, exceptional organisational ability, and proven experience working in high-expectation environments.
Primary Responsibilities
Wardrobe & Personal Management
- Oversee and maintain the principal’s full wardrobe across multiple residences and destinations
- Organise garments, accessories, footwear, and seasonal items with meticulous attention to detail
- Coordinate dry cleaning, repairs, steaming, pressing, and wardrobe rotations
- Maintain inventory of clothing and personal items
- Ensure all outfits and personal belongings are prepared according to the daily and weekly schedule
Packing & Travel Preparation
- Pack and unpack for all trips, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and presentation
- Prepare travel trunks and luggage using established packing systems and garment-care protocols
- Set up the residence or hotel suite one day prior to the principal’s arrival
- Arrange the wardrobe on arrival in a consistent, organised manner
- Create and maintain destination preference sheets (weather, activities, wardrobes, product needs)
- Coordinate with household and PA teams to ensure seamless travel transitions
Household & Butler Duties
- Anticipate needs of the principal with a proactive, service-oriented approach
- Maintain impeccable order in personal spaces and private quarters
- Manage personal belongings, valuables, and confidential items with discretion
- Oversee presentation of rooms, amenities, and setups in accordance with principal’s standards
- Assist with table service, hosting duties, and event preparation when required
- Support household staff, drivers, chefs, and security teams to ensure smooth daily operations
- Uphold etiquette, protocol, and service excellence at all times
Background & Requirements
- Proven experience as a Butler for a UHNWI, luxury household, royal household, or superyacht (yachting industry preferred)
- Exceptional reliability, loyalty, and professional discretion
- High flexibility with travel, changing environments, and international schedules
- Positive attitude, calm under pressure, service-driven personality
- Outstanding attention to detail and organisational precision
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality at all times
