ROTATIONAL CHIEF ENGINEER NEEDED FOR A 50m MOTOR YACHT (Y4 minimum)

Start Date: ASAP

Schedule:  Caribbean/USA/TBC

We are seeking an experienced and competent Chief Engineer (Y4 minimum) to join a busy and 50m private Motor Yacht, starting ASAP with an itinerary including the Caribbean, USA, and beyond. The vessel is a 470 GT aluminium-hull yacht, Cayman flagged and ABS classed, powered by CAT 3500 series main engines and John Deere 99 kW generators, and operates with a dynamic, energetic crew and great owners.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience as Chief Engineer on vessels of similar size, strong technical competence, and the ability to integrate well with a dynamic and energetic crew

The yacht runs with 11 crew, including a 2nd Engineer/Deckhand.  A support vessel also operates alongside the yacht

REQUIREMENTS FOR APPLICATION

-         STCW/ENG1

-         Y4 (Min)

-         English as a first language

-         Must have solid yacht experience

-         B1/B2 in hand

-         Excellent references are needed

Essential Qualifications

Entry Level Qualifications (or equivalent)

• STCW 95 (STCW 2010)
• ENG 1 (Medical Certificate)

Engineering Qualifications (or Merchant, USCG & AMSA equivalent)

• RIII/3 Y4 Chief Engineer (<200gt <1500kW)/ EOOW III/1 (SV) (<3000gt <9000kW)
