We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced 2nd Engineer to join a newly built 60m Private Motor Yacht. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the chief engineer in maintaining and operating the vessel’s engineering systems, ensuring optimal performance and safety. This role requires a proactive approach, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work effectively within a close-knit team. The position is based in Europe, with the ideal candidate being fluent in English, non-smoker, and possessing a professional attitude with excellent attention to detail. The 2nd Engineer will need to assist in all aspects of engineering functions, including routine maintenance and repairs, and demonstrate the ability to work independently when necessary.

Candidate requirements:
- Minimum of a few years of yachting experience as a 2nd Engineer on vessels of similar size
- EOOW certificate or equivalent qualification
- Valid STCW and ENG1
- Proactive, energetic, and able to troubleshoot independently
- Strong teamwork skills and willingness to assist in all engineering tasks
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Good command of English, both spoken and written
- Based in the EU or UK preferred for ease of travel arrangements
- Non-smoker with no dietary restrictions and no visible tattoos
Package:
- Salary: €5,500 pcm (Increase to €6,000 pcm after probation period)
- Leave: 60 days leave per year
- Itinerary: Mediterranean
