Chief Engineer Position
Good afternoon,
We are looking for a Chief Engineer for a NEW build, Fast Water jet 50m Motor yacht, Mediterranean cruising
<500GT
<6000kW (1,939kw x 3 = 5,817kw)
Ticket required:
Small Vessel Chief engineer <9000kW <3000GT
(Old Y1 or Y2)
Possibly they could have a lesser ticket if they complete the Engine Manufacturers course MTU (at their expense) if they don’t already have it.
Would consider an experienced 2nd engineer wanting to step up.
Permanent position
Start date: Beginning of January 2026
Itinerary: Build location = Turkey (Delivery early 2026), Single season vessel sailing/traveling all over the Mediterranean, wintering in Italy - Tuscany.
Vessel is built to commercial standards but will be run as Private for owners use.
Malta flagged.
The vessel is part of a small fleet and will travel with a 28m shadow vessel + a 12.5m chase vessel. (And other vessels which we will not normally travel with)
Sole Engineer - assistance from deck department
(If we run commercial in the future then 2nd Engineer will be employed)
Key points:
Water jet propulsion experience would be a benefit (3x Kamewa jets)
New build experience would be a benefit (Selecting Machinery Spares and assisting in setting Up a PMS)
Live ashore paid by the vessel until the launch of vessel
Single Mediterranean season cruising
The winter seasons out of the water Italy - Tuscany
Salary industry standard,
3.5days leave per month
1x return repatriation flight per year economy
Must be hands on and willing to work as a team around the vessel
Vessel is a single deck fast 50meter (top speed 35kts)
8 crew “12 with in the fleet”
Cabin will be shared
Vessel is part of a fleet of vessel and talks of building more are already in the pipeline
