Chief Engineer in Italy

Summary

We are seeking an experienced Chief Engineer to join a 44m private motor yacht operating in the Mediterranean.

The vessel is currently based in Italy, where it will also remain for the winter season (no major yard period expected).

This is a single-season yacht with a stable program and a long-term owner.

Requirements:

• Y3 CoC or equivalent commercial engineering license
• Strong hands-on maintenance and troubleshooting skills
• Experience on vessels of similar size or larger
• Ability to work independently as the sole engineer on board
• Good communication and proactive approach to onboard operations and maintenance

Conditions:

• Salary: €7,500 per month (DOE)
• Private program (no charter)
• Start date: ASAP
• Mediterranean cruising, winter in Italy

Essential Qualifications

Entry Level Qualifications (or equivalent)

• STCW 95 (STCW 2010)
• ENG 1 (Medical Certificate)

Engineering Qualifications (or Merchant, USCG & AMSA equivalent)

• RIII/3 Y3 Chief Engineer (<500gt <3000kW)/ Chief Engineer (SV) (<500gt 3000kW)
• RIII/1 Engineer Officer of the Watch (Unlimited)
