Summary
A private 46-meter Cayman Island registered sailing yacht is looking for a qualified and experienced solo engineer. Position is a job share style rotation, no salary off rotation. Position covers hands on engineering in a multinational crew of seven and very nice US owners. Ketch rigged s/y with GRT 269 and Cat c-32 Acert 960 KW. Male preferred (not closed to female) due to cabin arrangements. Currently in Vilanova, Spain. We are one month into yard period including our Lloyds 15 year special survey. Candidates should hold a Europe friendly passport, full driving license, eng1, stcw, y4 hopefully, no visible tattoos or piercings, non-smoker a must, social alcohol consumption, good communicator, proven longevity, native English speaker and easy going.B1/B2 beneficial but not essential. Must have yachting experience, be proactive, self-starting, have passion for job, interdepartmental co-operation and relaxed around inclusive owners/guests. Not a starter or retirement position! Salary depends on the person plus 365 medical insurance, flight’s and annual bonus at owners’ discretion. There is no salary off rotation. Two courses paid after one year.
