Position Overview
This entry-level role offers an exciting opportunity to join the interior team on a 102-meter private superyacht. As a Junior Service Stewardess, you will support the delivery of exceptional guest service, maintain impeccable standards in housekeeping and service areas, and contribute to the smooth operation of the vessel’s interior department. Ideal for motivated individuals eager to start a career in yachting, with training provided on the job.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist in delivering high-quality food and beverage service to guests and crew, including setting tables, serving meals, and clearing afterward.
- Perform daily housekeeping and turndown service in guest cabins and public areas, ensuring all spaces are clean, organized, and stocked with amenities.
- Support laundry operations, including washing, ironing, and folding linens, uniforms, and guest clothing to five-star standards.
- Help with inventory management of provisions, beverages, and service items, reporting shortages to the Chief Stewardess.
- Participate in crew training, safety drills, and departmental meetings.
- Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude at all times, adhering to the yacht’s uniform and grooming policies.
- Assist with guest activities, events, and themed evenings as directed.
- Ensure compliance with maritime health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Qualifications & Requirements
- STCW Basic Safety Training (required; can be obtained prior to joining).
- ENG1 Medical Certificate or equivalent (seafarer medical).
- Previous hospitality experience (hotel, restaurant, or cruise ship) is preferred but not essential; enthusiasm and a strong work ethic are key.
- Excellent communication skills in English; additional languages are a plus.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, in a live-aboard environment.
- Physically fit and able to stand for long periods, lift moderate weights, and work in a dynamic sea-going setting.
- Valid passport and eligibility to work on a flag-state registered vessel.
