Summary

We are seeking a temporary Relief Chief Engineer for a 40m motor yacht currently in Palma, Mallorca, to oversee engineering operations during a brief warranty period. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient functioning of all vessel systems while preparing for its upcoming shipment to the US. Key responsibilities include managing the remaining warranty works, shutting down, decommissioning, and winterising onboard systems prior to shipment. Ideal candidates will hold a Chief Engineer STCW III/3 Certificate of Competency or an equivalent qualification, with a preference for those with a Marshall Islands Certificate of Endorsement. Local candidates from Palma are preferred to facilitate a seamless handover process and ensure continuity of operations during this period. This role requires strong technical skills, leadership abilities, and a proactive approach to maintenance and safety protocols.
