Summary
Position: Rotational Chief Stewardess (EU-Based Preferred)
Rotation: Initially Ad Hoc, Transitioning to 2:2
Location: Worldwide Itinerary | EU Base Preferred
Language Requirement: Native English Speakers Only
We are looking for a professional, adaptable, and hands-on Chief Stewardess to join a dynamic and busy private program as a rotational counterpart to the current Chief Stew.
About the Role
- This position will initially cover in-between guest periods, with no set rotation at the start. Over time, and once fully confident and familiar with the program, it will transition into a fixed 2:2 rotational schedule.
- The ideal candidate will be flexible, drama-free, and ready to step in at short notice, as owner trips are often last-minute, with a few regular trips annually.
- This is a hands-on leadership role, not a purely administrative position.
Program Highlights
- Very active crew culture – owners are passionate divers and frequently include crew on diving excursions.
- Daily beach setups and service are part of the regular guest experience.
- The yacht spends a significant amount of time at sea, so candidates must be comfortable and functional underway.
- Itinerary includes remote and exciting locations — recent travel to French Polynesia with upcoming plans for the Baltic.
Crew Onboard
- 1 x Chief Stewardess
- 1 x 2nd Stewardess
- 1 x Stewardess/Masseuse
- 1 x Stewardess
Candidate Requirements
- Native English speaker only — fluency is not sufficient unless English is your first language.
- EU-based candidates preferred due to frequent travel requirements.
- US and EU-based nationalities considered; however, Americans and Canadians cannot be considered.
- Afrikaans-speaking South Africans based in the EU or US may be considered by owner request only.
- Must be highly adaptable, discreet, and free from outside commitments that may restrict last-minute travel.
Desired Skills & Qualifications
- Leadership experience in similar-sized programs with high standards.
- Comfortable with a hands-on, guest-facing role.
- Shipyard or refit experience and contractor management skills are a plus.
- Diving knowledge or interest is a bonus.
- Nursing or medical background/skills are highly valued.
- Must show a strong commitment to personal and professional development — the program offers a healthy training budget and encourages crew to pursue additional qualifications and skill-building.
