Summary
Burgess recruitment is currently seeking an experienced Second Engineer for an 65m private yacht.
This is a great opportunity for a seasoned second engineer to join a unique private vessel. The vessel is currently undergoing an extensive refit and will be fully operational in summer 2026.
Requirements
- STCW 3/III
- Must be hands on and have a passion for older vessels
- A good understanding of international rules and regulations pertaining to engineering
- A self-starter with good troubleshooting skills followed up with excellent repair work
- Familiar with the IDEA planned maintenance system and its upkeep
- A team player who is respectful, presentable with good manners and a can-do attitude
- Must have extensive experience with proven longevity.
- Shipyard/refit experience
Start date: 6 October
Location: France
Salary: EUR 6500
Leave: 60 days- rotation once operational (approx June 2026)
