Rotational Chief Engineer – 45m Private S/Y 

Döhle Yacht Crew are seeking a qualified and experienced Chief Engineer to join a 45m private sailing yacht with a dual-season itinerary between the Caribbean, Europe, and the Mediterranean.

This is a rotational position, and the ideal candidate will have a strong background on sailing yachts and be happy to participate on deck during regattas. The yacht has a fantastic crew and owners, and the program is well-established and active.

We are ideally looking for someone to join at the end of September for a handover with the current Chief Engineer ahead of the Atlantic crossing. The successful candidate will be supported by a deck engineer and will be expected to take full ownership of the engineering department.

The yacht offers a salary of €7,000+ DOE, along with bonuses and a training allowance. Accommodation is a shared cabin.

Essential Qualifications

Entry Level Qualifications (or equivalent)

• STCW 95 (STCW 2010)
• ENG 1 (Medical Certificate)

Engineering Qualifications (or Merchant, USCG & AMSA equivalent)

• RIII/3 Y3 Chief Engineer (<500gt <3000kW)/ Chief Engineer (SV) (<500gt 3000kW)
