Summary

We’re seeking a professional and motivated Second Stewardess to join our team on a 68M private motor yacht currently cruising the Mediterranean. This is an exciting opportunity for someone ready to step into a more senior leadership role and gain experience relieving the Chief Stew during her upcoming leave.

You'll work closely with the Chief Stew, while leading the Interior day-to-day. During the Chief Stew’s absence, you will take full responsibility for the Interior department and manage a small team to maintain high service and housekeeping standards.

Key Responsibilities

As Second Stewardess:

  • Oversee and coordinate daily Interior operations (housekeeping, service, and laundry)
  • Lead and support a small, professional Interior team
  • Assist in managing guest preferences and itineraries
  • Train and mentor junior stews
  • Maintain and organize all interior inventories
  • Ensure all guest areas are immaculately presented and service runs smoothly

Inventory & Provisioning

  • Maintain accurate inventories of all interior supplies (toiletries, linens, uniforms, service ware, etc.)
  • Assist with provisioning and restocking for both guest and crew use
  • Monitor and manage stock rotation and storage organization
  • Flag low stock levels and coordinate purchasing with the Chief Stew.

Interior Administration & SOPs

  • Assist in developing, maintaining, and updating Interior SOPs and manuals
  • Contribute to guest preference sheets, turn-down protocols, and housekeeping standards
  • Keep accurate records of inventories, schedules, and checklists
  • Ensure smooth handovers and clear documentation

Team Management

  • Lead and support junior stews, providing guidance and mentorship
  • Oversee daily task delegation and quality control
  • Conduct training sessions as needed to uphold standards

As Relief Chief Stew (during leave period):

  • Step into full responsibility for the Interior Department
  • Act as the main point of contact for guest-facing operations and crew coordination within the department
  • Liaise with the Captain and other HODs to ensure seamless guest experiences
  • Continue to uphold and implement established SOPs and high standards across all departments
  • Foster a positive and respectful team culture onboard

Candidate Requirements

  • Female (due to cabin arrangements)
  • Previous experience as Second Stew or strong Lead Stew on vessels 50M+
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management
  • Comfortable taking on responsibility and making decisions in a senior role
  • Positive, proactive attitude and a team player
  • Non-smoker / Non-vaper
  • Schengen & B1/B2 Visa
  • Valid STCW & ENG 1
  • Valid driver’s license
