Summary
We are currently seeking a Temporary Chief Engineer to join a 35m+ Motor Yacht.
Temp contract: 15th to the 26th September 2025
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the vessel's engineering systems and ensuring the smooth operation of all machinery onboard. You will collaborate closely with the captain and other crew members to ensure the safety and comfort of all guests while at sea. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and an ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. During your time onboard, the vessel with have a charter so the candidate will need to have charter experience and able to be good at troubleshooting on the fly.
Candidate requirements:
- Proven experience as a Chief Engineer on motor yachts, ideally between 30m - 50m.
- Strong knowledge of marine engineering systems, including auxiliary machinery, generators, and hydraulics.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with crew and guests.
- Proficiency in safety management and emergency procedures.
- Flexible and adaptable to changing situations and schedules.
- Valid STCW and ENG1 up-to-date.
- Y3 Engineering license.
