Summary

2ng Engineer, to join the chief. Ideal candidate will be well-presented, focused and be able to hit the road running. Knowledge of IDEA essential, responsibilities looking after the daily, weekly and monthly engine room jobs. Owners planned to be onboard so previous experience with guest important.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise day-to-day operation and maintenance of main engines, auxiliary engines, and auxiliary machinery.
  • Ensure compliance with planned maintenance systems (IDEA - PMS) and recordkeeping requirements.
  • Monitor fuel and lubricating oil consumption, condition, and ordering needs.
  • Maintain safety and environmental compliance in line with ISM Code, MARPOL, and company procedures.
  • Report technical issues, incidents, or breakdowns to the Chief Engineer in a timely manner.
  • Participate actively in emergency drills and onboard safety training.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Valid STCW safety and proficiency certificates..
  • MCA Approved Engine Course (AEC 1 & 2) Certificate minimum
  • ideally SV 2nd or similar
  • Minimum of 3 years experience – including 6 months yacht experience
  • Strong knowledge of PMS, safety management systems, and marine engineering practices.
  • Experience with Amels would be beneficial
  • Valid medical certificate (ENG1 or equivalent) and other statutory documents.

Contract Details

  • Duration: 4/5 weeks - 6th Oct - 9th Nov approximately
  • Joining Port: TBC
  • Salary: within yachting salary guidelines depending on experience.
