2nd Engineer in United States

Summary

We are looking for a temporary Second Engineer to cover our current engineer's leave for 2 month, starting beginning of March, 2026. This role mainly involve engineering duties but the candidate must be willing to assist on deck if needed, especially for charters / owners trips if any. The ideal candidate will hold a minimum EOOW Unlimited License- III/1. At least 2 years of experience as Second engineer on yacht of a similar size and a good understanding of AV/IT systems. The vessel is currently in West Palm Beach, Florida.

Requirements:

• EOOW unlimited license (III/1). Not AEC 1&2
• Strong understanding of marine engineering systems
• Two years experience in previous roles
• AV/IT knowledge
• Valid STCW
• Valid ENG1
• B1/B2, green card holder / American citizen
• Positive attitude and work ethic
• True non smoker- vape

Essential Qualifications

Entry Level Qualifications (or equivalent)

• STCW 95 (STCW 2010)
• ENG 1 (Medical Certificate)

Engineering Qualifications (or Merchant, USCG & AMSA equivalent)

• RIII/1 Engineer Officer of the Watch (Unlimited)
• RIII/2 2nd Engineer (Unlimited)
• RIII/3 Y4 Chief Engineer (<200gt <1500kW)/ EOOW III/1 (SV) (<3000gt <9000kW)
