We’re looking for an Engineering Recruitment Consultant to join our growing team at Quay Group. The engineering desk is a very successful desk historically with very strong billings and is a great opportunity to earn excellent money. Whilst someone local to Bournemouth would be preferred, we would look at people working remotely.

- Commission will equate to an additional £2k (as a minimum) to £4k a month on average. Some months could be significantly more. This desk has had a month where the consultant earnt €8k in commission and another at €7k this year. Realistic total earnings will be £70k to £100k depending on how good you are at the job.
- Holiday: Benefit from 24 days holiday plus bank holidays, including additional leave with time served. The office is also closed for Christmas week which normally equates to around 10/11 days off, ensuring you have the time to recharge and enjoy a healthy work-life balance.
- Early Finishes: We finish at 3.30pm on a Friday, or 1pm if you hit your monthly target.
- Hybrid Working Model: Quay Group values flexibility. Following your probationary period, we operate a hybrid working model that allows you to work three days in the office and two days from home (Tuesday & Thursday), and we also offer an option to start/finish work an hour earlier throughout the week.
- Working fully remotely is possible, but you need to e able to come to Bournemouth for the initial 3-4 weeks of training and then come to the office periodically for a few days.

What You’ll Do:
As a Recruitment Consultant within the Quay Crew division, your primary responsibility will be to manage a yacht recruitment desk for the Engineering department. This includes identifying and building relationships with key clients, understanding their unique staffing needs, and delivering bespoke recruitment solutions.
Your role will involve:
- Managing the full recruitment cycle, from sourcing candidates to successful placements.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with captains and crew.
- Sourcing and recruiting top talent, ensuring they meet the high standards of the superyacht industry.
- Interviewing and reference-checking candidates to guarantee the right fit for our clients.
- Keeping up-to-date with yachting industry trends and expanding your professional network.
- Proactively identifying and engaging with potential clients to expand the desks, utilising our existing yacht contacts as well as identifying new leads.
- You will be required to work in the Bournemouth office in Dorset, England (hybrid option offered following probation). Please note that this is not a remote working role.
What We’re Ideally Looking For:
- Yacht engineering or ETO/AVIT experience (onboard, shore-based, or management) or a strong background in recruitment.
- Based in the UK, ideally somewhere that you can travel to Bournemouth occasionally.
- An established network in the yachting industries.
- Meticulous attention to detail to ensure the highest standards of service for both clients and candidates.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and people skills.
- The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt quickly to changing requirements.
- Self-motivated, organised, and results-oriented with the ability to thrive in a high-demand, luxury sector.
