Summary
Chief Stew role requires a candidate who has STCW, ENG1, Car licence, Schengen Visa where required, food handlers certification and English spoken as mother tongue. Candidates already in Europe will be preferred. Prior experience is necessary particularly on the service side - at least 2 years as a junior, or a season as CS on a smaller or similar size vessel. Looking to develop/step up.
Summer role requires knowledge of service, wines, cocktails, table scaping, flower arranging and running the interior of a vessel. Guest hours are not challenging - no 2am or 5am food/drink orders. Social hours only.
Winter role is more relaxed. Maintain the interior. Oversee contractors - research and obtain quotes based on upgrades/repais requested by owners. Liaise with owners accordingly.
Candidates who like to stay fit and healthy will appreciate the role. Easy access to watersports and time to do them, as well as access to skiing in the winter, but also gym, cinema, concerts and shore life. Access to boat car for personal use.
