Summary

Position: Wardrobe Assistant

Location: London, Mayfair (Live-Out)

Start Date: As soon as the right candidate is identified

Overview:

We are seeking a highly organised, detail-oriented Wardrobe Assistant to support a private client in London with the care, upkeep, and management of an extensive designer wardrobe. This live-out role is ideal for someone with experience in luxury fashion, styling, or private household service.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Principal’s personal stylist to coordinate looks, manage seasonal changes, and ensure the wardrobe is maintained to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Principal’s stylist to coordinate daily outfits, special event looks, and travel wardrobes.
  • Manage and care for luxury garments, including couture, vintage, and designer pieces.
  • Prepare clothing and accessories: steaming, pressing, laying out, and restocking.
  • Oversee wardrobe organisation, seasonal rotations, and off-season storage.
  • Maintain a digital wardrobe inventory using software (e.g. Sortly).
  • Assist with packing and unpacking for travel, including preparation at other residences.
  • Work alongside a broader household team, including housekeepers, laundresses, and visiting support staff.
  • Support wardrobe archiving and styling-related projects in collaboration with the stylist.

Candidate Profile:

  • Proven experience in a similar role within a private household, or from luxury fashion, personal styling, or high-end retail.
  • Strong knowledge of garment care, fabric handling, and wardrobe organisation.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative working style.
  • Discreet, professional, and able to handle high-value garments with care.
  • Competent in using digital inventory systems or wardrobe software.
  • Energetic and physically fit, able to handle the demands of a hands-on role.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally as needed.

Additional Information:

  • Team Environment: You will be part of a collaborative household team, working closely with the stylist, housekeepers, and visiting staff from overseas.
  • Holiday & Leave: Standard UK holiday entitlement, including bank holidays with time off in lieu as needed.
  • Travel: Some travel may be required, including to other residences or while supporting trips.
  • Reporting Line: Reports directly to the Principal and, once appointed, the House Manager.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a polished and proactive individual to work in a dynamic household, contributing to the care and presentation of a beautifully curated wardrobe in collaboration with an experienced stylist.
