Summary
CAPTAIN – 30M SAILING YACHT:
We are seeking a hands-on and experienced Captain for a 30m private sailing yacht currently based in the States. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned sailor or someone ready to step up into their first command role.
This is a busy, private vessel with a dual season itinerary and a tight-knit crew of 4. Couples welcome to apply – there is also a position open for a Stewardess (can be green).
Itinerary:
- Currently in the US (dry dock, receiving new engine and generator)
- Following yard period: Newport, New York, Caribbean
- Summer cruising in the Med
- Return to the Caribbean for winter (2026)
Candidate requirements:
- Minimum qualification: Yachtmaster
- Strong sailing experience – essential
- Previous Captain experience preferred but not essential for the right candidate
- Engineering knowledge or hands-on ability highly valued
- B1/B2 visa required
- Positive, proactive attitude with excellent leadership and communication skills
Package:
- Salary: 9,000 - 10,000 USD DOE
- Leave: 28 days annually
*Can be coupled up with a Stew. Salary for a Stew is 5,000 - 6,000 USD (DOE).
