Salary: $7,000 - ($7,500 if they are happy after a 3 month review)

Cabin shared with chef
This 40m+ MY will be looking for a Sole Chef to join them in mid September in the states. Candidates should only apply if the start date is possible for them, and would probably suit crew who are looking for a month+ break before they start their next adventure. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4 solid years yachting experience, ideally showing a couple of years on 1 vessel rather than bits an bobs here and there. We are looking for a top level gourmet chef. The owner puts a lot of emphasis on food, so the chef needs to be someone passionate about his craft, keen to adapt to the owner's food requirements. (Normal, healthy style food but with a 'wow factor' in terms of presentation and attention to detail. ) The owner is onboard for roughly 6 weeks a year, plus occasional family usage but this can be spontaneous so the chef needs to be prepared to adapt to changes as they arise. There are sometimes additional guests for canapes or cocktails, so an organized mentality is essential. Flexibility regarding plan changes is essential, and planning ability is a must. Maximum sleeping guests is 12, but groups are normally 6-8 with 9 resident crew. Crew need lunch and dinner with emphasis on healthy food and protein. The galley is well equipped and a decent size for a 42m, and storage is also good. While the owner wants a gourmet chef, it's also important to have a team player who will work well with the crew.
