Summary
We are looking for an experienced Captain to join a 45m+ Private MY as soon as possible in the US.
Our ideal candidate is organized and efficient, good with juggling a lot of things at the same time, a great communicator, with excellent problem-solving skills, detail oriented, driven, is able to lead and train a fantastic team and loves to provide the highest level of service and exceed guest expectations. Strong administrative skills are essential.
Currently going through a 15yr survey with extensive hull work to the bow. Aim to be in the water in 4-6 weeks. Engineering works to continue once in the water. The owner is currently building a new vessel with a completion date mid-2027.
We need a hardworking and enthusiastic candidate, willing to roll up his sleeves to get the jobs done and someone who loves to create and provide great experiences for the owner and his guests. Experience with shipyards and refits are a must.
The yacht will travel to some off the beaten track locations.
Friendly, sporty and active crew onboard, everyone has worked together for one season already and it is a happy vibe onboard.
Safe operations and safety are a major importance for this yacht, they have a great budget, and the owner wants everything to work correctly and therefore happily pays for safety, repairs and maintenance.

Required Documents/Certificates: Master 3000, STCW, ENG1, PDSD, B1B2
Requirements for application: Min 2 years’ experience as a Captain on the similar size yacht, great communicating skills, great administrative skills, great verifiable references, proven longevity, loyal and trustworthy, no insurance claims, great experience with managing refits and shipyard periods.
Salary: 13,000 Euros
Additional information:
Standard MLC leave so this role would suit a candidate that would like to travel to some off the beaten track locations.
