The Role

An exceptional international family is seeking a Private House Manager in Central London to oversee the operations of their residence in Central London. This is a high-functioning, low-visibility role requiring extraordinary emotional intelligence, refined taste, and quiet authority.

The ideal candidate will anticipate needs without being asked, interpret silence as signal, and deliver seamless, artful hospitality in a home that values beauty, discretion, and readiness for the unplanned.

Core Responsibilities

  • Household Operations: Full oversight of the home’s day-to-day functioning with exacting attention to detail, rhythm, and elegance.
  • Reactive Event Management: Execute impromptu dinners, guest stays, and social gatherings with minimal lead time—always calm, always polished.
  • Staff Oversight: Manage and coordinate housekeeping, kitchen, vendors, and contractors with precision and diplomacy.
  • Property Maintenance: Coordinate ongoing and emergency maintenance while respecting the architectural integrity of a Grade II-listed building.
  • Culinary Coordination: Oversee daily meal planning and execution across 3–4 individualized dietary preferences; liaise closely with rotating chefs.
  • Aesthetic Stewardship: Maintain a visually harmonious and curated environment in line with the family’s appreciation for art, design, and quiet luxury.
  • Discretion & Communication: Act as the refined interface between household operations and principals—filtering, simplifying, and shielding where necessary.
  • Administrative Management: Handle budgeting, scheduling, rotas, vendor relations, and contractual logistics with quiet efficiency.

Ideal Candidate Profile

•       Minimum 10 years’ experience in UHNW, royal, or equivalent high-pressure private household environments

•       Familiarity with managing historic properties

•       Impeccable eye for detail across interiors, presentation, service, and flow

•       Emotionally grounded and motivated by the delivery of excellence

•       Formal service training (e.g., British Butler Institute) or background in luxury hospitality or superyacht operations preferred

•       Tech-competent: familiar with smart-home systems, secure communications, and digital scheduling tools

•       Ex Superyacht Experience would be a bonus

If you think that you would have the experience for this Private House Manager position in Central London.
