Chief Officer/1st Mate

Summary

• 60m World cruising Explorer vessel are looking for a Chief Officer to join them 14^th August 2025

• Incredible program with an exciting itinerary upcoming including Polar regions, Greenland, Iceland and looking at pushing into South Pacific later in the year

• They are looking for a candidate with Polar basic/advanced COC and experience cruising Polar regions – They are happy to put someone through their Polar training if you have prior cruising experience and a strong CV!

• Open to both experienced chief officers and a strong 2^nd officer coming from larger yachts looking to step up into the position

• Looking ideally for CM unlimited but also considering CM 3000 with the right experience

• Fantastic team, captain and owner – they will be using the boat extensively over the next year but it’s a lovely family style run yacht with high standards and excellent rotational HODS

• Responsible for overseeing the deck operations and team along with all bridge maintenance, they run full ISM and SMS

• Superb package on offer including business class flights over 4 hours, 13^th month bonus, 10 weeks on 10 weeks off, above industry standard salary which is DOE and will be discussing during initial calls

Essential Qualifications

Master/Skipper Qualifications (or Merchant, USCG & AMSA equivalent)

• MCA CoC Chief Mate <3000gt
• Reg II/2 CoC Chief Mate (Unlimited) / Master <3000gt

STCW Modules (or Merchant, USCG & AMSA equivalent)

• Basic Training for Ships Operating in Polar Waters (A-V/4)
• Advanced Training for Ships Operating in Polar Waters (A-V/4)
