Chief Engineer in France

Summary

We are looking for an experienced Chief Engineer to join a 45-meter private/charter motor yacht currently cruising in the Mediterranean.

Details:

• Position: Chief Engineer

• Vessel: 45m M/Y | Private & Charter use

• Location: Med-based

• Engine: Twin CAT C32

• Salary: €8000/month

• Contract: Starting ASAP

• Requirements: COC III/1 or higher, valid STCW, ENG1, experience on similar-size yachts

Ideal candidate:

• Minimum 2–3 years as Chief or Sole Engineer on yachts 40m+
• Strong hands-on skills (mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems)
• Organized, proactive, and used to working with minimal supervision
• Good level of English

The yacht runs with a busy summer schedule and expects a high level of autonomy, responsibility, and professionalism from the Engineer.

Essential Qualifications

Entry Level Qualifications (or equivalent)

• STCW 95 (STCW 2010)
• ENG 1 (Medical Certificate)

Engineering Qualifications (or Merchant, USCG & AMSA equivalent)

• RIII/3 Y3 Chief Engineer (<500gt <3000kW)/ Chief Engineer (SV) (<500gt 3000kW)
