Summary

BRILLIANT HEAD HOUSEKEEPER REQUIRED FOR UHNW FAMILY IN LONDON & SURREY

Location: London & Surrey

Contract: Full-time Permanent

Salary: Negotiable, DOE

Status: Live-out

We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and hands-on Head Housekeeper to support a high-net-worth family with the management and upkeep of their homes in London and Surrey. Responsible for managing the family’s main residence in Belgravia and second home in Surrey, you will have exceptional organisational and interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate will have prior experience working for HNWI’s and have a thorough understanding of how private households operate.

Responsible for working alongside and overseeing the work of the other housekeepers in Belgravia and Surrey, you will liaise with the family’s PA to keep up to date with the family’s schedule and travel plans, ensuring that there’s always sufficient cover at both properties, according to the family’s movements. Undertaking front of house and service duties, as well as general housekeeping, laundry, and wardrobe management tasks, it is essential that you are a team player with a flexible approach who is willing and able to step in to cover any scheduling gaps or to substitute for team members who are absent.

Working from Monday to Friday, you will either work the early shift (8:00-16:30) or the later shift (12:30-21:00), so flexibility to accommodate different shifts is essential. A driver with their own reliable transport is required for this role as you may be required to visit the Surrey property during the week to drop groceries and provisions including stock and laundry (any work travel costs will be covered by the family). It is essential to remain dynamic and flexible as the successful candidate will be required to cover the odd weekend day per the family’s request and depending on their movements.

DUTIES TO INCLUDE, BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

·       Liaising with the principals and management team to stay abreast of the family’s schedule

·       Hands-on housekeeping to include cleaning, laundry, ironing and wardrobe management

·       Managing household expenses/petty cash and liaising with service providers and contractors

·       Buying and preparing groceries for London and Surrey property

·       Basic flower arranging for small displays

·       Ad-hoc errand running

·       Answering the door to visitors and receiving parcels

·       Liaising with gardeners and florists for access times

·       Laying/clearing the table and serving lunch/dinner; liaising with the chef and managing the chef rota and agreeing menus

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:

·       At least four years in a similar role with experience of high-level housekeeping and laundry management in a high-end private household or onboard super yachts

·       Excellent eye for detail and the ability to provide training to household staff where needed

·       Brilliant interpersonal skills and fluent English language skills

·       Professional, hardworking & trustworthy

·       Trustworthy, reliable, and discreet

·       Proactive, adaptable, and able to work at a fast pace

·       Flexibility and willingness to travel between properties in London & Surrey

·       Excellent knowledge of London and well-connected

·       Confident driver with full, clean driver’s license and own reliable transport

·       Excellent checkable references
