A busy private MY based in the SOF is looking for an experienced Chef for the summer season and beyond. The boat is based in the South of France, so it would suit someone living here or who wants to be based here full time.
Ideally you must have at least a years experience as Chef onboard a yacht, be confident in providing, healthy, tasty dishes for the owner and crew. The owners like all types of food and plenty of it ;-) Likes buffet style and plated. You must be skilled in being able to offer Mediterranean style and some Eastern European style cuisines.
During the Winter season, it is usually anticipated that the daughter of the owner stays adjacent to the boat while studying at University in Monaco. This requires the Chef to cook lunch and dinner from Monday to Friday with weekends off. One meal a day is also required for the crew (unless there are guests on board). English food is the crew's preference. This is the regular schedule during the Winter period.
Salary is around €6,000 during the Summer season, and €4,000 during the Winter season if the position continues to permanent.
You must be well presented with a confident yet friendly approach. The other crew members are all English speaking first language. The Captain has been onboard and worked with the owner for many years. The owner likes to use his boat for local cruising and sometimes cruises to Italy, Spain and ret of the Med for the summers. The yacht will have busy summers but will be based full time in the South of France.
