Job Description: Engineer for 95ft US Flagged Motor Yacht

Position: Engineer

Location: South Florida

Type: Full-Time (Immediate Start)

Eligibility: US Citizen or Green Card Holder

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Engineer to join our team on a 95ft US flagged motor yacht. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in marine engineering and be capable of ensuring the operational effectiveness of the vessel. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated professional looking to work in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the maintenance and repair of all mechanical and electrical systems on board.
  • Conduct regular inspections and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with the captain and crew to maintain the overall efficiency of the yacht.
  • Maintain inventory of spare parts and manage supply orders.
  • Assist in routine cleaning and upkeep of the engine room and machinery spaces.

Qualifications

  • Valid STCW & current Seafarers medical
  • Proven experience in yacht or marine engineering, preferably on similar-sized vessels.
  • Strong knowledge of marine systems, including engines, generators, HVAC, and electrical systems.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills.

  • RIII/3 Y4 Chief Engineer (<200gt <1500kW)/ EOOW III/1 (SV) (<3000gt <9000kW)
