Summary

Foreign-Flagged | Program Type: Private | Location: South Florida

A 42m private, foreign-flagged motor yacht is seeking an experienced and proactive engineer for a South Florida-based program. This is a non-rotational, full-time position best suited to a candidate already residing locally and looking for excellent work/life balance.

The vessel is privately owned by a hands-on, local owner who visits the yacht regularly but conducts very limited trips or guest usage. The program is stable and offers a relaxed, land-based lifestyle with minimal travel demands.

Ideal candidate profile:

  • Strong background in routine preventative maintenance and vessel systems management
  • Resourceful and self-motivated with solid troubleshooting ability
  • Well-connected with a network of reliable local contractors in South Florida
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to maintain tidy records and logs

Qualifications:

  • Y4 CoC preferred, but will consider candidates with AEC 1 & 2 certifications and adequate hands-on experience
  • Must have valid STCW and all relevant up-to-date certifications
  • Must be legally able to work on a foreign-flagged vessel in U.S. waters

This is an excellent opportunity for a local engineer who takes pride in their work and is looking for a consistent, long-term role with a low-traffic program.
