Summary
We are currently looking for a rotational Chief Stewardess to join a 70m private motor yacht. The vessel is seeking a highly experienced and professional candidate with strong management skills and a hands-on leadership style. The ideal candidate will be confident in maintaining and respecting the current interior structure and service standards already established onboard, as the owner greatly values consistency and wishes for these to remain unchanged. The successful candidate will work closely with the existing Chief Stewardess, who will be their rotational partner, and will receive a thorough and detailed handover to ensure a seamless transition. Location: Mediterranean
Rotation: 10 weeks on / 10 weeks off – First rotation on will be 12 weeks to do a thorough handover with the other rotational chief stew, and be introduced to the owner
Package: USD 8,500 per month
Key Requirements:
- A highly experienced Chief Stewardess on 50+ motor yachts, at least 5 years' experience in the yachting industry and past hospitality experience a plus.
- Confident and experienced in all areas of the interior, with strong leadership skills to effectively manage a large team.
- Proven background in provisioning, liaising with agents, and maintaining strong relationships with restaurants and hotels in cruising regions.
- Calm, composed, and professional under pressure.
- Flexible and adaptable to different guest profiles, always focused on delivering an exceptional onboard experience.
- Strong administrative and organisational abilities, with the ability to think on their feet and work closely with the Captain and crew.
- A positive, energetic team player who integrates well with the crew and uplifts team morale.
- Comfortable with onboard admin and computer work, this can be an admin-heavy role
- A collaborative approach with the ability to follow existing onboard procedures and standards—owners value the current structure and are not seeking major changes.
Qualifications Required:
• STCW (fully updated) including PDSD
• Seafarers Medical Certificate (ENG1 or equivalent)
• Food Safety and Hygiene Level 2
• Valid B1/B2
Additional Skills:
Well-versed in provisioning, with good industry contacts for sourcing high-quality provisions, as well as securing restaurant, spa and activity bookings in key cruising areas throughout the Mediterranean and Caribbean
