TRAVELLING HOUSEKEEPER/VALET FOR UHNW FAMILY IN LONDON

A high-profile UHNW household is seeking an experienced and flexible Travelling Housekeeper/Valet to join their established housekeeping team. Based in London, the successful candidate will be required to travel regularly at short notice, primarily to Switzerland and occasionally to other international destinations. Candidates with a superyacht background would be ideal, bringing valuable experience in high standards, flexibility, and travel readiness.
The household operates to exceptionally high standards, so the ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role, with strong longevity in previous positions. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone confident, discreet, and highly adaptable, with a strong emphasis on teamwork and a proactive, can-do attitude.
Daily responsibilities will include the meticulous upkeep of guest bedrooms, bathrooms, and common areas. A significant aspect of the role involves valet duties such as wardrobe management, packing and unpacking, and overseeing the household laundry, with a strong focus on caring for delicate fabrics, making excellent attention to detail essential. Sewing or seamstress skills would be a considerable advantage. While formal table service is not a primary requirement, prior experience with high-level service standards would be beneficial.
When the principals are in residence, the schedule will typically follow a shift pattern, most likely from 11am or 12pm until 9pm or 10pm. During periods when the principals are away, the role will revert to a standard Monday to Friday schedule. The candidate must have the right to work in both Europe and the UK.
DUTIES TO INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
· General housekeeping duties to a very high standard
· Valet duties, including wardrobe management and shoe care
· Packing and unpacking for travel
· Laundering, ironing and garment care, including delicate items
· Assisting with errands and ad hoc household tasks
· Travelling with the principals to Switzerland and other locations
· Working closely with the wider household team to ensure smooth day-to-day operations
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
· Prior housekeeping experience, ideally on a superyacht or within a luxury private home
· Proven longevity and commitment in previous employment
· Able to think on your feet and adapt to changing schedules
· Well-presented with high attention to detail
· Experience with wardrobe and garment care
· Willing and able to travel at short notice
· Discreet, professional and polished
· Fluent in English, intermediate French would be a bonus
· The right to live and work in the EU & the UK
