Summary
Seeking a chief engineer for a full time live aboard position, overseeing the mechanical and technical aspects of an extensive refit on a 52-meter motor yacht. The position will involve close coordination with the captain, shipyard teams, contractors and the vessels management company to ensure a timely and high-quality execution of all works.
- Annual vacation: 38 days
- One round trip vacation flight to place of residence per year
- Medical insurance provided
- Fluent in English with excellent communication skills
- Full-time live aboard position
- Rotation will not be offered at this time
- 5 years’ experience as chief engineer on yachts in 50-meter range
- Minimum Y3 rating or equivalent
- All required certifications up to date and in hand
- Non-smoker / vape
- Physically fit and hands-on engineer willing to get his hands dirty
- Immigration requirements: B1/B2 Visa or US Green Card or US Citizenship
- Private, Cayman flagged vessel, greater than 500gt
- Older steel & aluminum 52m yacht currently undergoing a major refit in the USA
- Potentially moving the vessel to a Dutch shipyard this summer to complete the refit
- The refit will take several more months to complete if not longer
