A unique opportunity has become available for a captain with their own accommodation near Brisbane to go land based in this terrific lifestyle position.
The vessel is used locally around the Brisbane region, including the River, Moreton Island, Tin Can with the occasional trip as far as Bundaberg
Mostly day trips, occasional over nighter or slightly longer by mutual agreement with the captain.
When in dock the captain must effectively manage the vessel, being hands on with both deck / engineering and also giving the interior a weekly spruce.
Additional crew from owners office on trip only, that will cover deckhand/stew and cooking duties.
As the vessel is permanently based in Brisbane and only operates locally the captain must have their own accommodation ashore
The Ideal Candidate
- Previous captain /engineer experience
- Master 5 or MCA equiv or higher
- Own accommodation ashore
- Hands on in approach
- Versatile allrounder
- Personable with good communication skills
- Knowledge of local Brisbane waters
- Responsible manager
- Work rights for Australia

Salary: $12,500-$13,500 AUD / month DOE
